Sayulita Surf
Evenings in Sayulita, Mexico are magic. The heat of the day has passed and the surf break is lit from behind by the glow of sunset. In this image I used intentional motion blur to create the illusion of brushstrokes and a soft, dream-like feel.

I'm a Canadian photographer based in the Laurentians region of Quebec. In 2019 after a tragic loss I turned to photography as a way to reconnect with the beauty, peace and meaning that could still be found in the world around me - even as I made my way through grief. My favourite photographs to make are the ones that not only capture a scene but also express an emotional experience.
