Lichen Heart

Lichens are inspirational because they are composite plants, usually formed by an algae and a fungus, that grow together as one in a mutually supportive relationship. Because of their dual composition they are very durable and can survive in some of the harshest climates on earth. This image of lichens forming a heart shape celebrates the fact that we are stronger together.
