Popping Peonies
Peonies are perhaps my favorite thing to paint! I feel like their subtle shifts in value, color, form and texture lend them to be the perfect highly nuanced subject. I love to study them--through the lens of my paint box--from every angle and phase of their bloom.

Honestly, there's very little rhyme or reason to my subject matter! Although there's very little rhyme or reason to my personality as well: I love ethnic foods as much as I love Arby's curly fries, and my playlist ranges from pop to indie to rap.
