My paintings are about big skies and color, but are meant to be quiet, reflective, peaceful, and dreamlike. For me, the act of painting skies and clouds is a form “meditation”, as it gives me a great sense of peace and joy. Moment of Pause is just that. A moment I took to pause and just be with the paint, allowing it to flow and go where it wanted. This piece feels dreamy and spiritual to me. And I remember being very happy and connected when I painted it. It took on a life of its own but knew when to stop. I always loved this particular piece for giving me that.
